Anxiety & Depression

Anxiety is a, "physiological and/or psychological response to stress or worry," about our relationships, job, health or day-to-day concerns or responsibilities. Certainly, becoming anxious is a normal response in many situations. In some situations, however, otherwise common occurrences produce an overwhelming feeling that we cannot control. Understanding the cause of anxiety and what triggers episodes is a powerful first step towards resolution. Many times, developing habits or routines are particularly helpful. Counseling provides the professional support that will assist you in restoring calm confidence.

Depression is often described as an all-encompassing low mood commonly accompanied by lowering self-esteem. Depression is sometimes treated with medications but can also be successfully overcome with counseling. Whether or not you elect to use medicines, studies show counseling will help you will feel better faster with a more enhanced recovery over the long-term. Children, Adults and the Elderly can all experience depression; each group many times display differing symptoms, some more recognizable than others.
